Here is your ultimate guide to Off-Road Madness in El Cajon. The El Cajon Classic Cruise “Off-Road Madness” is a regular summer weekly events in El Cajon on Wednesdays. Classic Car Cruise shows are a regular summer and fall event that occurs every week on Wednesdays in downtown El Cajon. Spectators from all over Southern California show up to visit the classic cars, muscle cars, sports cars, and antique cars all in one location.

Downtown El Cajon

The downtown El Cajon area reserved for the cars is around a four block section barricaded off for just the cars in the car show. Restaurants and bars along the street are open for business and there is a stage with live music every week. On the stage are various local bands from around the area.

In addition, the El Cajon Classic Car Show has themed weeks. This week we are going to visit the “Off-Road Madness” theme. The off-road madness car show is sponsored by Off-Road Warehouse. Along the streets are off-road vehicles of all types: dune racers, dune buggies, Jeeps, lifted trucks, as well as antique trucks.

The vehicles park on both sides of the street in reserved parking spots for the event, as well as the row of vehicles down the center of the street. Streets are closed off to traffic, so the spectators can walk around to view the vehicles and talk to the owners.

Photographers and Videographers

Photographers and videographers like me have a field day photographing these vehicles. I will spend three hours or more to walk around the different vehicles to photograph them. Normally there is live music on the street stage to listen to. At the end, I step into the Main Street Café and have a draft beer. It is always a lovely afternoon viewing the vehicles of the El Cajon Classic Cruise!
